History

• Yaron began training with Imi in the end of the year 1968, and he is one of the three students who received a degree of black belt.
• In 14.08.1971 Yaron passed the first instructor's course that was organized by Imi in cooperation with the Wingate Institute, and for that he received a diploma from the Wingate Institute.
• In the year 1975 Imi gave him his black belt. In fact, he was given the same belt Imi himself used to walk with, and he is keeping the belt with him until today.
• Imi opened two schools: one in the city of Natanya, and the other in Tel-Aviv. The school in Tel - Aviv, was handed over to Yaron in the year 1977.
• In the year 1982, Yaron established BUKAN - school of Krav-Maga, the biggest of its kind, with 3000 pupils and 54 instructors – such an achievement was never copied.
• In the year 1983 - 1984 Yaron completed a certificated trainer's course in the Wingate Institute School of Trainers and for that he is carrying a diploma of certified trainer given to him by the Wingate Institute and the Ministry of education.
• In 2.6.1985 Yaron was awarded a black belt 2nd DAN.
• In 24.8.1986, after a course for levels 1st, 2nd and 3rd that was conducted by Imi in the Wingate Institute, Yaron graduated in excellence and was promoted to a level of 4th DAN.
• In the year 1988, Yaron published the first book, of 190 pages, about the Krav-Maga without even the smallest change in any movement and exercise that he learned from Imi (like is costumed today). The book was sold by tens of thousands and became a teaching book in the I.D.F.
• BUKAN School is the first that delegated training and introduction groups outside the borders of Israel.
• In 20.06.1990, during training in BUKAN, Imi gave Yaron a black belt 6th DAN.
• No one but Yaron has ever accomplished such a huge project like the one of bringing the Krav-Maga as a compulsory subject to schools in Israel, within a project unique of its kind.
• Yaron is the first that sent students out of Israel, to Japan, Australia, Canada, and others more.
• In the year 1994, Yaron published his second book, of 240 pages, as an additional material. This book can only be bought through Yaron.
• Yaron is the only one authorized by the Wingate Institute to qualify instructors of Krav-Maga and self defense techniques.
• In 01.08.1994, when Imi saw Yaron's professionalism and what he had done to promote the Krav-Maga, and his will to keep the original Krav-Maga, like it was developed by him, he gave Yaron a black belt 9th DAN.
• In 2008 Yaron published a book in English "The Book of Krav-Maga, The Bible". It describes in details the majority of the techniques until the black belt.

The School Activities

The school purpose is to promote the Krav Maga as a unique Israeli martial art for self defense. The school is offering a wide variety of seminars and courses in Krav Maga and self defense, with the purpose of allowing a large number of people to find there way into the world of Krav Maga.

• Course of Krav Maga and self-defense instructors. An instructor's diploma will be given to each graduate. Those who have previous professional knowledge would be awarded also a new degree.
• In addition, Grand Master Yaron is conducting world wide workshops and seminars in self defense and Krav Maga in different levels, that are suitable for beginners and advanced as one. Every school owner or a group of students can contact Sensei Rotem for information about participating in those seminars.
• To those who have professional background, is given the opportunity to take an exam to brown and black belt (and above) in self defense and Krav Maga. The exams can take place in any location (as possible) and are conducted by Grand Master Yaron. Every one that will pass the exam will receive the school distinguished diploma, indicating his belt.
• To those who desire a black belt in Krav Maga and are able to stand in the demands of the preparation course, can be also examined for black belt in Krav Maga combined with a course of Krav Maga instructors.
• A special workshop to those without previous professional experience who wants to purchase knowledge in Krav Maga.
• To those who have previous professional knowledge and want to work also as Krav Maga instructors or to be a Krav Maga representative in there city/country can turn to Sensei Rotem to get support professionally and in other ways and to benefit from the school experience in organizing seminars, exams for degrees, special trainings, books, lectures and much more.
• Specific workshops for special service men, to organized units, security companies, police and military.
• Seminar for Zen and Krav Maga:
  - Self control and breathing technique.
  - Feet work technique and legs work technique of Krav Maga.
  - The Krav Maga as a tool for meditation using body control and his effect on daily life.
  - God is in the small details: Technique of hands and legs work for total understanding of the Krav Maga as a martial art of self defense.

All of the activities are for men and women as one.
